WHAT ARE THE ADULT FACIAL FRACTURE ?
The traumatic fracturecaused by some type of accident, fall, or other kind of force are of interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Fractures can be in a single line in a single bone, or in a complicated way involving all facial bones in high-energy injuries such as a traffic accident.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR APPLICATION ?
Facial bone fractures without vital problems are repaired in the first 24 hours if possible before excessive edema in the face. If this period has passed due to various reasons, medical treatment is expected to regress edema for a few days and surgery is planned for definitive treatment.

Surgical treatment is based on the complete manifestation of fracture lines, correct fitting of fractures and detecting titanium plaque and screw systems.The incisions made to reveal the broken lines are made from inside the mouth or from areas that can be easily concealed. The plaque-screw systems used according to the location and shape of the fracture vary. Some plaque-screw systems are removed after enough time has passed for bone boiling. If bone loss occurs as a result of trauma, bones taken from other parts of the body can be placed in these areas.

Secondary and tertiary interventions may be required in cases with inadequate initial treatment.
