Tenosinovit

WHAT IS TENOSINOVIT?
Structures such as long wires that move the fingers of the hand are called tendons. Tendons are structures that connect the muscles to the bone. These tendons are also covered with a membrane called synovial membrane. Sometimes this synovial membrane becomes inflamed, causing the emergence of a synovitis-type disease called tenosynovitis that affects the fingers, wrist or shoulder. The type of synovitis that is formed away from the joints is called tenosynovitis.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR APPLICATION ?
If it is caused by infection, it is treated with antibiotics. If the infection become serious and it tends to spread, surgery may be necessary. In a minor surgical operation, the cause of infection is removed, cleaned and the spread of infection is prevented. If there is a mechanical problem other than infection, an operation may be required to resolve it. Postoperative complaints are reduced and the arm can be used as before.
