Labioplasty

WHAT IS LABIAPLASTY?
Every woman wants to look beautiful and consequently genital aesthetic operations are more and more in demand in line with what woman really wants. Labioplasty is one of the most frequently performed genital aesthetic operations. Labiaplasty is a simple surgery to remove extra tissue of the labia minora (vaginal lips), labia majora (outer lips) or around the clitoris (clitoral hood reduction). Sometimes there may be asymmetry between the left and right labiums. Labiaplasty changes the size or shape of the labia, typically making them smaller or correcting an asymmetry between them.

Although labioplasty is the genital aesthetic operation most frequently applied by patients with visual and aesthetic concerns, in fact, deficiencies are observed in labiums functionally. Mostly under local anesthesia, the excess parts are removed and the small lips get back on track. If asymmetry is present, these problems can be corrected during the intervention. Thus, both aesthetically beautiful appearance is obtained and functional problems are eliminated. This procedure is called labioplasty surgery.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR APPLICATION ?
Labioplasty operation lasts an average of 30 minutes and local anesthesia is generally preferred. General anesthesia may also be applied according to the personal needs of the patients. It is usually put into operation at the end of menstruation. Hymen and urinary tract are not damaged in any way during the operation. Immediately after the sewing operation, patients return to their normal lives. It is recommended that these patients do not engage in sexual intercourse for 3-4 weeks. After not showering for the first 2 days, they are recommended to take a shower on foot for 10 days and their personal hygiene. As long as it is done with the appropriate method, no loss of sensation and no orgasm is prevented in any way.

Many of the women who apply for labioplasty surgery actually need a clitoris aesthetic. The clitoris is a very rich neural network, a sensory-rich organ that stimulates during intercourse and plays a role in facilitating orgasm. In cases where small lips are large and droopy, there may be an excess of tissue on and around the clitoris. This excess tissue that covers the clitoris like a hoodie makes orgasm difficult. In such cases, the problem is solved by removing excess skin covering the clitoris during labioplasty.

Large lips may sometimes have more fullness than usual. This is not only unpleasant in appearance, but also in some tight clothing. For example, when she is wearing a bathing suit it becomes visible from the outside. Therefore this reality can disturb the concerned people. In such cases, liposuction with a thin cannula is either done to reduce swelling or surgically remove subcutaneous adipose tissue to regain normal appearance. In this process, the stitch mark is planned to remain between the small lips and the large lips and no scar tissue has formed in visible part of body.

In cases where the large lips are overly puffy, especially if the person is overweight , we can see that the Venus hill (pubis) region is more puffy than usual. This can also cause aesthetic, functional and psycho-social problems. While it is possible to handle moderate to mild excesses with liposuction, it is necessary to surgically remove excess skin and adipose tissue.
