WHAT IS CIRCUMCISION?
Circumcision is the surgical removalof a fold of skin called the foreskin that covers the glans (head) of the penis. It has been practiced in different societies as a requirement of tradition or as a prerequisite in some religions since ancient times. It is understood that even in primitive periods, the practical benefits of circumcision were noticed and circumcision became widespread even though the medical benefits could not be fully explained.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR APPLICATION ?
For infant circumcision, the baby is placed on his back and his arms and legs are strapped down to prevent movement during the procedure. The baby will either have a topical anesthetic applied to the surface of the penis or have numbing agents injected into the penis or around its base.During a circumcision surgery, the foreskin is freed from the head of the penis, and the excess foreskin is clipped off. With newborns, the procedure takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Adult circumcision takes about one hour. The circumcision generally heals in 5-7 days.
